Serbia – Golija (January 2017) mountain in the south of Serbia, highest peak – Jankov kamen 1833 m. There is several versions of how the mountain got its name.
According to one, it was named because of its large area – Golemo means Large Mountain – Golija. Intact vastness are covered with oak, beech, spruce and Omorika forests are home to numerous plant and animal species.
Foxes, wild boars, wolves and bears can be found on Golija. The mountain is an exceptional air spa and is visited both in summer and winter. Odvraćenica is a small ski center with 7 tracks at 1700 m. Unspoiled nature and endless peace are the main attractions of this mountain beauty.
